The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held the 4th edition of the Saudi Maritime Congress, the largest and most important global maritime event in the Kingdom, commenced on the 20th of September under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services. This 2 days event, held at Dhahran Expo in Dammam, supported by strategic partners and main partners such as Bahri, Transport General Authority (TGA), MAWANI, Seatrade maritime, Saudi Aramco, and IMI. It aims to boost the maritime and logistics sectors in Saudi Arabia.
The comprehensive exhibition, which accompanies the conference, provides a platform for maritime and logistics businesses to network and share knowledge. According to Chris Morley, Group Director, Seatrade Maritime – organisers of the annual event: “The 4th edition of Saudi Maritime Congress is on track to be the largest it has ever been in terms of visitor numbers, onsite exhibitors and participation of world-class speakers from various industries, including Eng. Ahmed Alsubaey, CEO of Bahri; H.E Eng. Hessa Ahmed Hamdan Almalek, Advisor to the minister for Maritime Transport Affairs, the UAE Ministry of Energy and infrastructure, among others.
During the Saudi Maritime Congress, significant agreements were signed, reinforcing the Kingdom's global presence and commitment to driving progress in the industry. Bahri signed an MoU with SAIL to facilitate knowledge and expertise exchange, fostering innovative and effective solutions for the maritime logistics services market. Additionally, MAWANI Company and Saudi SAREX Company signed a partnership agreement to enhance environmental sustainability and preserve the integrity of the marine environment.
By hosting the 4th edition of the Saudi Maritime Congress and facilitating partnerships and agreements, Saudi Arabia is positioning itself as a leading player in the industry while prioritizing sustainable practices and growth and demonstrating the Kingdom's dedication to transform its maritime and logistics sectors in line with Vision 2030.
