Saudi Arabia Hosts Coffee Break on Sidelines of the Technical Cooperation Committee

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted a coffee break during the second day of the 73rd session of the Technical Cooperation Committee (TC), on October 17, 2023, at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) building in London.

The TC Committee is responsible for overseeing the capacity-building program of the IMO and the implementation of technical cooperation projects. It works to help developing countries improve their ability to comply with international rules and standards relating to maritime safety and the prevention and control of maritime pollution, giving priority to technical assistance programmes that focus on human resources development and institutional capacity-building. These projects support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

During the coffee break, Saudi Arabia introduced guests to traditional Saudi Coffee, Arabic sweets, and Dates. This provided an opportunity for attendees to learn more about Saudi Arabia's role as a Council Member and their campaign for re-election for the biennium of 2024-2025.
