Saudi Arabia Launches First Programme Dedicated to Sponsor Female Leaders in the Logistics Services

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is committed to empowering women in the logistics and transport sector. The most recent initiative is providing scholarships to the future female leaders. 15 scholarships have been launched under The Saudi Logistics Academy, this undertaking will be in collaboration with the Singapore Supply Chain in Logistics Academy (SCALA).

The costs are fully subsidised by the academy and encourage all women who may be interested in the sector to apply. The course will cover two stages with the first section being remote theory based. Successful applicants will also spend two weeks in Singapore with the Singapore Supply Chain and Logistics Academy.

It provides the female students the opportunity to meet with the current industry leaders and experts in addition to their field visit designed within the course.

This effort symbolizes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continued actions dedicated to providing training and expertise of women in the maritime and logistics sector.
